PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Clean Indoor Air Act (CIAA) is a public health initiative aimed at reducing exposure to secondhand smoke and other indoor air pollutants. These pollutants can have significant negative effects on health, including respiratory diseases, heart disease, cancer and other chronic conditions.
The Environmental Health Department investigates complaints regarding smoking in public places and work sites to ensure public health standards are maintained.
