Environmental Health

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Environmental Health is a critical branch of public health that focuses on preventing and controlling environmental factors that may harm human health. The department is charged with enforcement of the NYS Sanitary Code, NYS Public Health Law, and the Sanitary Code of Wyoming County. 

The ultimate goal through education, inspection and enforcement, it to ensure that the environment is safe, healthy and conducive to promoting the well-being of the community.
