Volunteer Group
The Wyoming County Sheriff's Posse is a volunteer nonprofit organization established to support the Sheriff’s Office and other public agencies. The Posse plays a vital role in traffic and crowd control and dedicates many hours to training at their facility. Volunteer members provide their own horses, trailers, equipment, and uniforms, relying on donations to sustain their operations. Each year, the Posse assists with major events such as concerts, the Wyoming County Fair, and other occasions when their support is requested.
Police Equestrian Events
In addition to supporting the Sheriff's Department, the Posse actively competes in Police Equestrian events, where its members have earned recognition and awards on a national level.
