Broadband/Empire State Development ConnectALL Grant

A $236,800 project is currently underway to prepare a Broadband Feasibility Study for Wyoming County and to support efforts to strengthen the County's GIS capabilities.

Countywide Water Feasibility Study

Partnering with Barton & Loguidice to develop a countywide Water Feasibility Study aimed at expanding public water access and strengthening existing infrastructure in Wyoming County.

New York State Department of Health Drinking Water Source Protection Plans

Actively engaged in planning initiatives with the Village of Attica, the Silver Lake communities of the Town of Castile and Village of Perry, the Town and Village of Warsaw, and the Town of Gainesville.

Genesee River Watershed Implementation planning

Partnering with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to target non-point source pollution in Wyoming County’s watershed.

New York Rural Connect: USDOT Thriving Communities Regional Pilot Program

This planning, technical assistance, and capacity-building support will help communities develop transformative infrastructure projects that improve mobility, reduce pollution, and expand affordable transportation options, connecting communities to the opportunities and resources they need to thrive.

Silver Lake Local Waterfront Revitalization Program

The County Planning Department is administering a $148,750 grant to guide the Towns of Castile and Perry and the Village of Perry in improving access to the waterfront. The project focuses on identifying opportunities for economic development and recreational enhancements, while also promoting water quality and protecting the Silver Lake watershed.

Wyoming County Comprehensive Plan

The County Planning Department is working with the Genesee Finger Lakes Regional Planning Council to develop a strategic plan for the sustainable growth of Wyoming County that also protects the character of our rural communities.  

Wyoming county agricultural development and Farmland protection plan update

The County Planning Department is working with staff from multiple county agencies and organizations to update and further refine our Agricultural Development and Farmland Protection Plan. The previous plan, published in 2005, can be found here. The objective of the update is to provide an accurate assessment of current agricultural conditions in Wyoming County and devise strategies to increase and expand the economic viability of the agricultural industry, encourage the protection of farmland and to increase public interest and awareness of local agriculture.
