PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Wyoming County Health Department has “Navigators/In-Person Assistors” within our organization that are certified to help consumers and small businesses look for healthcare coverage through New York State’s Marketplace.
- These services are free and confidential and offer all insurance options with no bias.
- Open enrollment is available any time of year if your income falls below the 200% federal poverty level or if you have a qualifying event (loss of insurance, birth, divorce etc.) or for Medicaid, Child Health Plus or Essential Plans.
- Depending on income, you may be eligible for tax credits to help with Qualified Health Plan premium costs.
- Premium assistance is available for up to 400% of the Federal Poverty Level Guidelines. Medicaid, Child Health Plus and Essential Plans are income-based.
