Omega Project (Community Service/Tutoring)

Community Service

The Restorative Justice (OMEGA) Project is a community service-based program for youth in Wyoming County. The ultimate goal of this program is to provide restorative justice to the community.

Individuals are sentenced to the OMEGA Project through Family Court, Youth Court, and the Probation Department. Community service hours are completed at a variety of sites throughout the county, such as:

  • Animal Shelters
  • Churches
  • Fire Departments
  • Libraries
  • Nursing Homes
  • Schools

Tutoring & Workshops

In addition to community service, OMEGA also offers tutoring to those same youths, where they will work with peers and/or adults to learn study skills and improve academic standing.

Attendance may also be required at workshops, which focus on current issues and events relating to the juvenile population, when available.
