Ombudsmen are dedicated advocates who work to protect the rights, well-being, and safety of residents in nursing homes and adult care facilities. They offer support in a variety of ways, including:
- Informing you about your rights and relevant regulations
- Assisting in communication with facility staff
- Attending care plan meetings with you
- Connecting you with appropriate staff members or external agencies
- Helping to resolve concerns or issues you may face

Senior Courier
- Volunteers are needed to prepare the Senior Courier for mailing on the third Monday of odd months (January, March, May, July, September and November).
- Volunteering is easy, you just need to show up!
- We begin folding at 9:00 am at the Office for the Aging located at 8 Perry Avenue, Warsaw.
- Any and all help is greatly appreciated, and it is a good place to meet with old friends or make new ones.
Transportation
- The Transportation Coordinator at the Office for the Aging has a list of independent drivers who have indicated a willingness to do out-of-county transportation to medical appointments for reimbursement of mileage.
- Volunteer drivers are always needed and appreciated.
